More than half of IU South Bend students qualify for financial each year. This includes scholarships and grants which do not need to be repaid, work-study opportunities that allow you to work and earn money to help pay for your costs, and low-interest student and parent loans (borrowed money that must be repaid).

Verification is a review process, directed by the Department of Education, in which the Financial Aid Office is required to determine the accuracy of the information provided by you on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Verification must be completed before aid eligibility can be finalized.
