IU South Bend has partnered with TimelyCare to provide students with 24/7 access to virtual mental health counseling and wellness resources at no cost! Currently enrolled IU South Bend and IU Medical School-South Bend Campus students will be able to secure virtual "telehealth" support during academic breaks, over the weekend, and "after-hours" when the Student Counseling Center is closed (after 5:00 pm). The Student Counseling Center (SCC) is a safe place for students, staff, faculty, and alumni to foster community and share resources regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. All staff at the SCC embrace every opportunity to be the best ally possible to our IU South Bend community. Together, we are stronger!
QPR — Question, Persuade, Refer
The Student Counseling Center offers QPR Gatekeeper training to the IU South Bend campus community. QPR is a nationally recognized program that teaches participants to recognize the warning signs, clues, and communications of people contemplating suicide and to help save a life. Certified Gatekeeper training is offered in small-group settings and takes about 1.5 hrs. Contact us at 574-520-4125 for more information.
