If you have any further questions about this process you can always contact us for further assistance.
Your academic advisor at IU South Bend will provide you with a signed degree plan or CC 104-R (Planned Academic Program Worksheet) which will map out your degree program and requirements. Save a PDF of your degree plan and/or CC 104-R to your computer, USB, or secure cloud storage.
You will need to register for an account under your respective military branch to set up your account before you can begin applying for tuition assistance. Please refer to the military branch TA portals below.
From step 1 (listed above), you will be required to upload a PDF of your degree plan/map in your respective military branch TA portal. Prompts within the tuition assistance portal should guide you through the process of uploading your degree plan/map.
When you apply for your TA, you will request TA for each class. Before submitting your TA request to your respective military branch, you will be required to upload both a PDF of your class schedule and bursar bill to verify both the class and the cost of the class. Once you formally submit your TA requests, be sure to monitor your account diligently as your EC will either approve or disapprove your TA requests.
If you have any questions on applying for TA, please contact us.
You can also email OVSS for a PDF of these steps, as well as frequently asked questions.
