Indiana University South Bend offers various scholarships to high school seniors who will be starting at IU South Bend as incoming first-time freshmen.

Titan Scholarship Award Program*
IU South Bend is excited to offer Titan Scholarships to recognize outstanding graduating high school seniors (including early graduates) who:
•Will be earning a U.S. high school diploma, and
•Plan to enroll as full-time degree-seeking students at IU South Bend in the fall semester immediately following May or August graduation
Application Deadline:
•Titan Scholarships are automatically offered to qualifying high school students when they are admitted to IU South Bend on or before March 1st March 15, 2025 for the fall semester
•To accept this scholarship, recipients must complete the Office of Admissions confirmation form no later than May 1
Award (for incoming freshman starting Fall 2025 or after):
Recipients will receive the highest Titan Award for which they qualify based on available funding.
A maximum annual Titan Gold award of $2,000 will automatically be offered to students accepted to IU South Bend with a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher.
A maximum annual Titan Silver award of $1,000 will automatically be offered to students accepted to IU South Bend with a high school GPA of 3.50 or higher; and to students with a High School Honors diploma who have a high school GPA of 3.25 or higher. Students receiving this award will be reviewed and moved to a higher award amount if the additional criterion is met as outlined above.
A $750 annual Titan Onsite award will automatically be offered to a student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher when they apply during a high school visit by IU South Bend admissions counselors. Students receiving this award will be reviewed and moved to a higher award amount if the additional criterion is met as outlined above.
Renewal Criteria:
Titan awards are automatically renewable for an additional three years (or until graduation whichever occurs first) when a student meets the below qualifications in the academic year (Fall, Spring, and Summer):
• minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA
• enroll full-time each fall and spring term, and
• complete required credit hours toward their degree as listed below:
• Titan Gold Award: 28 credit hours
• Titan Silver Award: 26 credit hours
• Titan Onsite Award: 24 credit hours
• Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Honors Program Scholarship*
Indiana University South Bend is excited to offer the Honors Program Scholarships to students accepted to the Honors Program at IU South Bend. Students with a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA or higher are candidates for the prestigious Honors Program and scholarship. To find out more about the program visit the Honors Program website.
Application Deadline:
Students admitted to the Honors Program are automatically considered for the scholarship.
Award:
Honors Program Scholarship Award (total value up to $2,000 over four years):
A $500 annual Titan Onsite award will automatically be offered to a student who have been admitted to the honors program.
Renewal Criteria:
• The scholarship is renewable for students meeting the honors program requirements.
Selective Scholarships
Indiana University South Bend is excited to offer the Selective Scholarships to support outstanding high school seniors from Indiana and the greater Michiana region who:
Will be earning a high school diploma from the region, and
Plan to enroll as full-time degree-seeking students at IU South Bend in the fall semester immediately following May or August graduation
Application Deadline:
Applications must be marked submitted and letter of recommendation must be received by the deadline on February 10 by 11:59 pm EST.
After logging in with IU credentials (red button in the middle of the page), students will first complete the General Application
Once this is complete, log back in and select the IUSB-Selective Student Scholarships Application, and complete it
Award Criteria:
To be considered for these scholarships students must meet the following general criteria in addition to the specific criteria listed for the different programs below:
Have a completed IU South Bend admissions application on file
Anticipated graduation from an accredited high school no later than June 30
Minimum 3.5 cumulative high school GPA (providing 6th or 7th semester grades)
Plan to enroll full-time at IU South Bend, beginning in the fall semester
NOTE: Some of these scholarships require an SAT / ACT score – see specific program criteria below
Minimum 3.5 cumulative high school GPA (6th or 7th semester)
Minimum old math/reading SAT score of 1100 (or ACT equivalent) or minimum new SAT score of 1170 (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math) and above, and
Be a legal resident of the state of Indiana
Minimum 3.5 cumulative high school GPA (6th or 7th semester), and
Graduate from a public or private high school in Northern Indiana or Southern Michigan
Minimum 3.5 cumulative high school GPA (6th or 7th semester), and
Demonstrate leadership potential
Minimum 3.5 cumulative high school GPA (6th or 7th semester)
Rank in the top 10% of their graduating class, and
Preference will be given to economically disadvantaged students with leadership potential.
In addition to the above, IU South Bend offers numerous other scholarships. These scholarships have varying requirements. All incoming students are also encouraged to apply for these scholarships through the IUSB General Scholarship Application. Once students complete this general application and submit and log out, the system will recommend more opportunities when they login afterwards.
• Deadline: Application deadline for most of the opportunities is March 15 by 11:59 pm EST for the fall semester.
