Thank you to all who joined us for last week’s Coffee with the Chancellor. It was a packed agenda. Highlights included recent campus award winners, a detailed update on our financial sustainability efforts, and an update on our Academic Master Plan.
The spring application deadline for campus professional development funding is February 29. In addition to making sure you are aware of this opportunity, I want to share more about the professional associations you have access to as a member of our campus community. All these associations offer a variety of professional development, from webinars and articles to podcasts and communities of practice. I encourage you to explore these organizations and the resources they provide.
American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)
Dedicated to advancing the democratic purposes of higher education by promoting equity, innovation, and excellence in liberal education.
American Council on Education (ACE)
Mobilizes the higher education community to shape effective public policy and foster innovative, high-quality practice.
American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)
Provides high-impact resources for leaders and aspiring leads within state colleges and universities.
Campus Compact
Dedicated to higher education civic and community engagement.
Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU)
Dedicated to creation and dissemination of knowledge on issues that face urban and metropolitan campuses and the communities they serve.
Community-Engaged Alliance (CEA)
Partners with Indiana higher education institutions to strengthen the relationship with their local communities and produce civic-minded graduates.
Network for Change and Continuous Innovation (NCCI)
Brings together higher education professionals from many roles with a mission to advance change and innovation.
The Chronicle of Higher Education
The nation’s largest newsroom dedicated to covering colleges and universities.
Finally, in honor of Women’s History Month I will be hosting my third annual Women’s Leadership Panel. This year’s theme will be Leadership in Times of Polarization. The event will take place in the Education & Arts Building Room 1011 from 5:30-7:00pm on Monday, March 25. This year’s panelists include:
