Education and Training

The Office of Institutional Equity and Inclusive Excellence is a leader, a partner and a resource for educating the community and creating dialogues about equal opportunity, affirmative action and inclusive excellence.  We work to prevent harassment, discrimination and retaliation as well as to assure the provision of reasonable accommodations for disability and religion.

Education is at the heart of Indiana University's mission. IU South Bend believes that education is the best tool for preventing discrimination and harassment, and will serve to enhance the quality of education for all. Through this educational mission IU promotes campus diversity, equal opportunity, and affirmative action.

The Office of Institutional Equity and Inclusive Excellence has customized workshops for departments interested in providing education to their staff, faculty, or students on affirmative action, equity, and diversity-related issues.
