Political Science
Welcome to the Department of Political Science and thanks for your interest. We are the home of the Major and Minor in Political Science, as well the Minor in Geography and the Certificate in Paralegal Studies, which students can also use to satisfy the requirement for a minor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
The Department also offers graduate study in Public Affairs, including a Master of Public Affairs with Concentrations in:
- Governmental Administration and Policy
- Health Systems Administration and Policy
- Non-Profit Administration and Policy
We also offer Certificates in those fields as well.

Academic advising plays an important role in helping you take ownership of your college career. And our faculty advisors are here to help! Current students use the Student Appointment Scheduler on one.iu.edu to schedule an appointment with your assigned Advisor. If your advisor does not have appointment availability, email them.
