Schedule your advising appointment well in advance of your enrollment date to stay on-track to graduation and to get the classes you want, at the times you want.
To make an advising appointment:
- Check to see if you have any financial holds that prevent enrollment. The Titan Success Center can help you understand your holds and how to clear them. Financial holds should be cleared before advising.
- Log in to SOAR to find your 'Assigned Advisor'. Their email address and phone number should be listed on the left side of the page.
- Click the ‘Schedule Appointment’ Button below your advisor's information. You can also set up an appointment by visiting the Student Appointment Scheduler in one.iu.edu.
- If you cannot find or reach your advisor, visit the Who is my advisor? page. Choose your degree, certificate or student type and find information on how to connect with your department advisor.
- Check your IU email: you will be sent a confirmation with the details for your appointment, such as location or Zoom link. You will receive a reminder the day before your appointment
